My Practically Perfect Life

Someone once told me that their favorite kind of person is someone who loves Jesus, likes to drink beer and says the “F” word! Well here I am! I am first and foremost a mom! I am a realtor, I remodel houses, I am ordained to officiate weddings and I am a certified fork lift driver! I love to travel anywhere and everywhere I can!! I enjoy working on cars and trucks, I love to cook and I enjoy learning new things about as much as I can! Nobody is perfect, life would be boring. But my life is as close as it comes! Practically Perfect in every way!!

  • Guardian Angels

Growing up, there were always stories, fairy tales and such about guardian angels. An angel that is assigned to you. To protect you and help guide you through life, or the hardships you are going through. I truly believe God and an angel were protecting me in 2010 when I flipped my truck. And before Continue reading

  • Which way to go?

Once upon a time there were 2 men lost in a forrest. They happened across each other and shared they were lost. One man said to the other “let’s go together” and the second man asked why that would be a good idea. The first man said “so I can show you the wrong way Continue reading

  • Livin’ the Dream

Livin’ the dream is not just a quote or a motto but a way to live life. And man, I really am! I hear people say it all the time when asked how things are. Usually it is said with sarcasm, but occasionally you find people that truly mean it. And let me tell you, Continue reading

  • Loosen the grasp

I’ll start with a story. Once a young man was asked by someone to hold a glass of water out in front of him. The young man did this with ease, as the glass was very lightweight. After 15 minutes though the glass began to shake. And within another 10 minutes, the glass fell to Continue reading

  • So I saw a shooting star

This morning I was able to watch the night sky slowly evolve into the morning sky. With the colorful brush strokes of deep orange and all shades of yellow as the sun peaked its way above the horizon blending softly into the blue of the still dark sky with its shining stars. What a beautiful Continue reading

  • Wallpaper and tears

I am in a new place in life. I’ve been in adjacent places to this one before, but all in all it’s new. Emotionally and physically it’s new. But it is where I am supposed to be. I believed that before, but yesterday something happened and now I have zero doubt in my mind that Continue reading

  • Northern Lights

Writing about the northern lights have been on my mind lately but especially last night and this morning. For one, the analogy I had in my head has made even more sense the past few days, plus the fact that most of the states were able to see them last night makes me feel like Continue reading

  • Music is my GPS

I have written a lot about music. It is something I will forever be able to talk about. Any type of music. Gospel, bring it! I was raised in a Baptist church. Instrumental, come on with it! I was raised by a band director and elementary music teacher! Classical, Oldies, Classic Rock, Jazz…that is what Continue reading

  • I hope this day is good

So I am from a very small town in west Texas called Floydada. Not many people have heard about it, but it has some quirky reasons you should! Number 1, I grew up there! Haha I know I know, who cares! But I still have to try and throw myself into the cool party!! Don Continue reading

  • Morning Fire

It’s early morning, the sun has risen and I am enjoying a lovely cup of coffee by the fire. The remnants of fire from last night that is. But it is still enough to keep me warm! I did not sit down to write with a specific topic in mind. But somehow I ended up Continue reading
